High Threat Protection ~ Project Manager (PM) (OCONUS)

 

High Threat is defined as a high potential for and/or a high probability of an attack against the principal with the intent to harm.  High Threat Protection Skills are those skills that demonstrate a candidate’s experience or training in the application, participation, knowledge, and understanding of skills or skill sets required to mitigate, eliminate or prevent high threat actions.  Required experience can be gained in the employ of any Federal, State, Local, military or law enforcement agency, as well as in private sector security. 

 

The HTP program is not an entry level program.  Candidates shall maintain copies of the certifications and ensure these certifications are current at deployment and are updated, as required.

 

PM ~ Duties and Roles:

 

 


Project Manager (PM) (OCONUS)

 

Qualifications:

  1. A U.S. Citizen with a current security clearance.
  2. Ideally a former military O-4, CWO3 or MSG or above.
  3. If former police, are seeking a watch commander or equivalent.
  4. Must have an accredited Bachelor’s degree. ( http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation /)
  5. Fifteen (15) years of experience (HTP).
  6. Ten (10) years of the fifteen years must have been working on or overseeing personal protective, static guard and emergency response team assignments.
  7. At least three (3) of the ten years must have been in a management or in-charge capacity.
  8. The remaining five (5) years of experience shall be generalized experience as defined as follows.
  9. Generalized experience in planning, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing government security type programs.
  10. Demonstrated an ability to develop and manage budgets.
  11. Demonstrated an ability to manage and have contractual knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  12. Generalized experience in planning, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing government security type programs.
  13. Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of government regulations and the development of plans, policies, and procedures.
  14. Written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  15. Capable of solving complex problems.
  16. Ability to function effectively in adverse situations.
  17. No impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy.
  18. Must be Program Management Professional (PMP®) certified (www.pmi.org) within one year of being assigned to the Task Order.
