High Yield Credit Analyst – Long Only – Top 10 China Asset Manager
The client runs both a public fund covering Pan Asia Credits - with focus on High Yield opportunities in Greater China and Southeast Asia. Thus, we're looking for a single analyst with about 4 years of buyside experience to cover the securities recommendation responsibilities and generate reports through a value investor mindset.
My ideal candidate would have had experience covering Pan Asian Credits - either in China coverage or Southeast Asia.
Other pertinent requirements include:
- Must come from the buyside - as the way to write, generate securities recommendation may not be easily imparted. So we need someone to pick up from day 1.
- Open to look at sector specific or generalist profiles - would look at China High Yield Property Bond or Southeast Asia High Yield Cyclicals.
- Value Investing, Fundamentally driven research capabilities
- Ability to work with global teams across counterparty or Asian offices
- Preference for Chinese or Asian applicants due to some local client base but could consider outstanding international profiles when willing to relocate on their own
The hire is attractive for people who either want to broaden coverage or have a clear progression to move up the ladder for promotions and coverage. Interviews are well underway and will finalize by end September (guaranteed bonuses can be discussed).
