As an HVAC Maintenance Mechanic on the Stanford campus, your first mission will be to take everything you've ever learned about customer service and relationship building to the highest standard. If hired, you'll have joined a world class facilities team. You've got to think, act and communicate at the highest level. At Stanford, we provide outstanding customer service and an incredible attention to detail. If the challenge of working with very bright people, in a widely dispersed environment, and with new and unfamiliar technology sounds daunting, it is. We provide University vehicles for our employees in the HVAC shop, but free buses, train passes and carpooling will enable you to get to work in an environmentally conscious and stress free manner. Besides your ability to perform skilled heating, ventilating and air conditioning work at the journey level, and to troubleshoot, maintain and repair all types of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment in locations such as an office, library, classroom, research facility, retail shop and laboratory, (whew!), there's something else.  None of those matters if you lack the team-based attitude, polish, approachability and communication skills that are equally, if not even more, important ingredients for success.
