Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Hays Healthcare are currently working with a leading community care NHS Trust in the East Anglia region of the UK who are looking to recruit a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at Band 7 Grade for a permanent post.

The role require you to provide a speech and language therapy service to adults with acquired communication, swallowing disorders (except those associated with stroke). You will work as part of the Adult  Speech and Language Therapy Team providing a service for in-patients at the main hospital site of the Trust. You will also provide a highly specialist service for patients with Dysphagia.

You must be a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and a registered member of the Health Professions Council.

You must have made the transition to full clinical autonomy and have a minimum of 2 to 3 years relevant experience. You should have the attainment of relevant qualifications as recognised by HPC and RCSLT.

You will require evidence of successful completion of highly specialist short courses and conferences as recognised by RCSLT and HPC and you must also be Dysphagia accredited.

In depth experience of Dysphagia, management of dysphagia and communication difficulties in degenerative disease is required.
