Busy Gastroenterology practice seeks licensed histology technician. Prefer someone experienced in anatomical pathology and will be responsible for the prompt and accurate processing of all tissue specimens. This includes assisting the pathologist with gross examination of histology specimens, cutting and staining frozen sections. The Histotech's responsibilities also include documentation of quality control and quality assurance reports as specified by regulatory agencies. Also will involve keeping minutes of quality meetings as needed. As this is a new service, the histotech will be involved in selecting equipment, ordering supplies, establishing relationships with supply vendors, developing policy and procedures manuals and other responsibilities associated with managing the pathology lab.
