HITSG Web Appl Developer II
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Support FMCNA’s mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy. Adhere to the FMCNA Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and division/company policy requirements.
The Web Application Developer II is responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment and documentation of web-based software using various software platforms including, but not limited to, .Net, JavaScript, XML, and SQL.
DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Responsible for driving the FMCNA culture through values and customer service standards.
- Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers.
- Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication.
- Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Write ASP.NET, HTML, ColdFusion, JavaScript, VBScript and SQL code for web applications.
- Develop software applications and functionality in accordance with systems analysis definitions and requirements.
- Support and confer with business community to determine business and technical requirements.
- Work with customers and peers for requirements gathering and definition.
- Analyze business application requirements of various scope and complexities in order to support business management objectives.
- Design, develop programs, test, document, implement and support business solutions of varying degrees while maintaining the highest quality possible.
- Tests and deploys software applications.
- Apply current technology to solve technical problems and ensure system and application performance is optimized.
- Document operational, system and support requirements ensuring adherence to Corporate IT Standards.
- Prepare developer and end user documentation in support of projects.
- Provides application technical support.
- Serve as a technical resource for other development staff and business community members.
- Assist other team members in maintaining and updating applications.
- Work with Strategic Technical Partners in developing electronic interfaces.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimum of 6 years experience in the design and development of Microsoft based software systems.
- Technical expert highly specialized in Web-based technologies, specifically .NET, that is proficient in application systems analysis and programming.
- Able to act independently given general direction.
- Able to work creatively, analytically, and independently in a problem solving environment.
- Experience with Visual Basic programming language.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server programming.
- Complete understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Good knowledge of Object Oriented design and development.
- Thorough knowledge of multi-tier programming.
- Experience and firm comprehension of web based application development.
- In-depth experience of operations and control procedures for high quality software development.
- Perform detailed software code reviews with other .NET software developers.
- Excellent task management for self and other .NET software developers.
- High level of output and contribution to the software development team.
- Able to mentor other .NET programmers to deliver software as a team.
- Able to understand use cases, process flows, and other functional specifications delivered by the Business Analysts to implement software solutions.
- Work cooperatively with product development management.
