Kelly Services is currently recruiting Registered Nurses for a well known employer in the Jacksonville area!!! Qualified candidates must have no less than 6 months home health care experience. Duties and Responsibilities 1. The RN is the performing case manager. Case Management includes initial assessment of the patient and the family for appropriateness of and acceptance of home health care services, establishment and periodic review of the plan of care, implementation of medical treatment orders, referral, follow-up, provision and supervision of nursing care, coordination of services given by other health care providers, and documentation of all activities and finding. 2. The RN is responsible for the clinical record of each patient receiving care. 3. The RN assures that progress reports are made to the physician when the patient condition changes or if there are deviations from the plan of care. 4. The RN counsels the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs. 5. The RN participates in in-service programs and supervises and teaches other nursing personnel. 6. The RN may assign selected portions of patient care to a LPN or HHA. In such circumstances, the RN maintains responsibility of the care given. Supervisory visits are made to the patient?s residence. Skills and Duties 1. Administers therapeutic treatments as prescribes by a physician. 2. Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. 3. May give bedside nursing care when indicated. 4. Teaches and supervises the family and other members of the nursing team. 5. Is knowledgeable of patient?s condition at all times during patient care program. 6. Maintains accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care. 7. When ordered, keep records of patient?s food and fluids intake and output. 8. Records all supplies used or provided to the patient on the appropriate form. 9. Participate in in-service programs. Education and Qualifications 1. Minimum of one year recent work experience. 2. Current licensure in the state of Florida. 3. TB skin test or chest X-ray as proof of freedom from TB every two years. 4. Initial physical exam or statement of good health from a physician. 5. Satisfactory references. 6. Current CPR certificate.
