The Trading Assistance group consists of individual Exotics, Flows, Convertibles and Delta 1 support teams who play an integral part of the wider Equity Derivatives Middle Office Group working closely with key stakeholders including Traders, Sales, Structurers, Legal, Compliance, Product Control and Settlements.
If your application is successful your responsibilities will include;
Maintaining instrument static data within the Front Office Risk Management System.
Create and book OTC and listed trade static required for the variety of transactions dealt by the desk (products include vanilla options, variance swaps, equity swaps, structured notes + swaps and convertible bonds)
Trade booking and amendments, position keeping and monitoring of p/l, equity and cash fails, breaks
Supervise day to day activities of the team and review breaks
Resolving daily queries from the desk, operations, credit, product control and risk management
Monitoring, booking and controlling corporate actions, including dividends
Monitor and provide trading desk with expiring positions and action as appropriate
Provide coupon and redemption calculations for structured products (OTC and Listed)
Change testing and implementation for new systems, products and processes
Regulatory Control and Compliance Management
Qualifications /Education:
Essential: Degree level education, especially in technical areas such as Mathematics, Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering and I.T.
Experience Required:
Preferred: Experience of trading / support functions within the equity derivatives market
Preferred: Equity Derivatives Exotics / Volatility Middle Office experience
Preferred: Advanced knowledge of structured products (engineering and payoffs)
Preferred: Basic understanding of trading strategies
Preferred: A close working relationship with Front Office, ideally previous trading floor based experience
