Position Description:
SunGard provides an integrated solution suite for asset/liability management, budgeting and planning, regulatory compliance, and profitability. SunGard's banking solutions also manage all aspects of universal banking including back-office transaction processing, front-office multichannel delivery, card management and payments.
The primary role of the Managed Services Pre-Sales Consultant is to support the Ambit business in the continued development of hosting and managed IT services globally. The successful candidate will work directly with the Ambit managed services, product, technology, operations and sales functions with a primary focus on developing and closing opportunities for next generation, cloud-based business. The Pre-Sales Consultant will also assist in the continued development of appropriate business support frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
• Understand SunGard Ambit technology-related services and how they are currently deployed in support of managed services
• Strategise on further development opportunities in a rapidly changing landscape
• Maintain close relationships with internal delivery and operational/support functions in support of business development
• Help to develop appropriate business support frameworks including technology deployments, commercial models, ROI illustrations, legal templates and Service Level Agreements
• Assist the global sales team to identify and qualify opportunities and support them through the sales lifecycle which may include RFI/RFP responses, conference calls, on-site presentations and data centre visits and audits.
• Assist in the management and monitoring of managed service business through the development of appropriate reporting including forecasts, sales pipeline, market trend analysis and business cases
• Continued development and implementation of appropriate policies and procedures to support corporate and external security and quality compliance programmes
• Input to marketing campaigns through the development of specific material to assist in the creation of collateral and whitepapers

Position Requirements:
• Strong record of managing and/or delivering hardware/software solutions.
• Proven technical sales or pre-sales experience.
• Experience of service level frameworks
• Broad technical background, ideally including hands-on experience with Windows Server Operating System and RDBMS platforms plus virtualisation, Citrix and web-based delivery.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint, Visio, Excel)

• Willingness to travel globally

ITIL v3 Foundation or higher is desirable.
