Hotel General Manager
Position located at the Clarkson Inn, Potsdam NY
The Clarkson Inn, a subsidiary of Clarkson University, is searching for a General Manager.
Essential responsibilities include:
- Hands on management of a 40 unit hotel with emphasis on financial performance, quality assurance, customer relations as well as supervision and development of the Inn's staff,
- Prepare and implement the Inn's annual budget, capital plan, business and marketing plans,
- Execute all Human Resource functions,
- Cultivate relationships with guests, area universities, community business and village and town officials,
- Recognize and respond effectively to changing environments.
The successful candidate should possess a BS in Business with hotel or hospitality management preferred, five years of managerial experience in the service industry, preferably in the hotel/lodging industry. The candidate should also be detailed oriented, self-motivated, possess strong leadership and organizational skills and be capable of working in a team environment; as well as possess proficient computer skills, including MS Office and Windows.
