Primary responsibility is for the daily management of sales initiatives by building and growing the hotel market segment. Incumbent must have in-depth knowledge of referral procedures, hotel landscape, and ability to effectively communicate with key hotel contacts. Incumbent must be able to identify expansion opportunities for on-site or served by hotel locations.

  1. Areas to be canvassed daily
  2. Utilize Daily Planner, Customer Profile, and Sales Call Tracking system to organize daily tasks and follow-up actions
  3. All leads are to be called on a timely basis and discussed with Area and Branch Managers
  4. Open a minimum pre-determined number of new referral sources each month
  5. Know pricing tendencies and market impact
  6. Dress appropriately to mirror the image of the market
  7. Inform branch personnel of customer updates such as key contact changes, concerns, or other specific issues which may directly impact the relationship with the account
  8. Work with other sales representatives to help develop organizational and selling skills
  9. Practice general principles of sales leadership
  10. Process and follow-up with all referral program applicants
  11. Identify and fix referral payment issues
  12. Communicate any payment concerns immediately to the General Manager
  13. Prepare approved proposals and other related documents
  14. Responsible to turn in weekly progress report to the General Manager
