GRG is at the leading edge of a wider rescue culture and is a major contributor to the bottom line of the RBS Group. We work closely with stressed trading businesses to restructure their debt and help restore them to health. GRG also has a major role to play in reducing the Group’s non-core property exposures and re-building the strength of the UBG Balance sheet.
Reporting to the Head of GRG Ireland Asset Initiatives, you will develop the strategy to manage and structure the bank’s economic interests, as well as its borrower’s interest, in its hotels and trading assets. You will also manage the execution of agreed asset management and exit strategies through asset sales, loan repayment, and refinancing or loan sale in conjunction with the Relationship Management Teams.
Based in Dublin, you will need to demonstrate:
- Minimum of 15 years relevant management and / or consultancy experience in the hotel markets in NI, ROI and the UK including successfully structuring management arrangements, purchase and sale contracts
- Comprehensive knowledge of the operation and investment characteristics of hotels and other trading businesses
- Demonstrated track record in understanding markets, identifying buyers, deal origination, structuring and execution
- Proven experience with understanding, assessing, monitoring and controlling risk including an ability to deliver fit for purpose structures and strategies within a variety of deal structures and legal vehicles
- Ability to lead internal and external teams to achieve successful execution of transactions
