Job Description
- In this crucial position, you will responsible for developing, implementing and promoting health and safety programs. You will be primarily responsible for the prevention of accidents for all of the company’s business locations across Canada.
Job Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement action plans aimed at preventing occupational injuries and ensuring a safe work environment for employees;
- Develop and communicate programs, policies and working procedures in accordance with provincial health and safety legislation;
- Provide guidance to managers and human resources business partners when implementing programs, procedures and policies as well as on provincial Health and Safety legislation;
- Perform necessary follow-ups to ensure that all establishments are in compliance with the corporate Health and Safety programs;
- Assist with the investigation following work accidents and provide appropriate recommendations
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s Health and Safety program
Requirements
In order to be considered for this position, the following qualifications are required:
- Bachelors of Human Resources, Industriel Relations or equivalent;
- Certificate in Health and Safety or other relevant training;
- A minimum of 5 years experience in Health and Safety (IN PREVENTION)
- Experience in managing complex occupational injuries cases (an asset);
- Knowledge of ergonomic principles and basic concepts;
- Good knowledge of MS Office and Peoplesoft (an asset);
- Fluently bilingual in French, English (Oral Written).
