Position: Human Resources Assistant                                                                                  Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico

PACIV, a global instrumentation, control systems integration and regulatory compliance engineering firm with offices in Puerto Rico, United States, UK and now Ireland, servicing BioPharmaceutical, Medical Device, FB and Utilities clients, is looking for a temporary role based Human Resources Assistant in its Puerto Rico office reporting directly to the Human Resources Lead.

Job Description:

The HR Assistant will be responsible for all office administration tasks for the Puerto Rico office and assisting the Human Resources Lead in HR related matters such as: recruitment, filing, compliance, policies and procedures, benefits, training, leave management, performance evaluation tracking, and office administration, among other.

 

Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions

 

·   Complies and keeps personnel records.

·   Pre-screening of applicants.

·   Records personal data for each employee.

·   Office supply management and ordering.

·   Screen incoming calls for each department.  Receptionist, clerical, and filing tasks.

·   Gather and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail.  Coordinate messenger services as requested.

·   Assist VP of Operations in field operations matters.

·   Provide support to President CEO in required tasks.

·   Assist other departments as needed.

·   Responsible for the proper administration of the office: housekeeping, supplies and other building related matters.

 

Requirements

·   Education: Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, and/or related on the job experience is a must.

·   Work Experience:

o  Minimum one (1) to two (2) years of experience in the human resources environment.

o  Knowledge and familiarity with personnel laws and regulations is required.

·   Qualifications:

o  Expertise in computer systems such as Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Internet Explorer, etc.

o  Expertise in managing files and records: electronically and hard copy.

o  Bilingual in English/Spanish, good communication skills both verbal and written, and the ability to maintain excellent relations with managers and other co-workers.

o  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

o  Deals well with uncertainty and pressure.

o  Works well with others, within a team and takes accountability.

o  Result driven and self-motivated.

o  Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and presentation).

o  Organized and detailed oriented.

Other Requirements

·   Location:  San Juan, Puerto Rico

·   Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.  Sitting for extended periods is common.
