Cargill Beef has an opportunity for an HR Assistant position located in Schuyler, NE . This position is responsible for providing customer service to HR clients and clerical support to the Human Resources department. Primary responsibilities include new hire paperwork processing, background checks, I-9 management, translation, service awards, ID badges, filing, administrative back-up to payroll, benefits, and hiring, and other duties as assigned. Principal Accountabilities: 30% - Provide customer service to Human Resource Customers (answer phone calls, questions, help complete paperwork) 30% - Process new hires (background checks, new hire packets, new hire list, etc.) 10% - Verbal and written translations (English/Spanish) 10% - Immigration compliance administration 10% - Payroll, benefits, and hiring back-up administration 10% - Filing and other duties as assigned Qualifications Required: HS Diploma or GED Equivalency Prior customer service and/or administrative experience Prior work experience handling confidential information and documents Demonstrated strong computer/technical skills and capabilities (e.g. Microsoft Office ? Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint Strong Bilingual (English and Spanish) communication skills ? verbal, written, and spoken Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple priorities Demonstrated strong organizational skills Preferred: 2- or 4-year degree in Business or Human Resources 3 or more years HR administrative work experience Prior experience working with PeopleSoft and/or Kronos Cargill is an EEO/AA employer.
