GENERAL SUMMARY:
Will help organize and bring a stronger talent management approach to the organization and to help standardize recruitment of new hire, job changes, and process requisite approvals around the world. Build strong relationships at all levels of the organization and leading by example through a management style that is fast, collaborative, results oriented, team based, and people focused to drive cultural change in the organization. While working with leadership of the organization, this individual will also help identify talent and create future leaders through the development and use of talent pool management, performance management, individual development plans and the leadership development process. Work with the Sales Service HR leadership, Shared Services and Centers of Excellence to implement programs and compensation and benefits, learning and development, talent management, organization development, recruiting, employee communications, health safety and diversity. This individual will lead efforts to integrate an increasingly internationally diverse company, encouraging English as the company business language, creating One Huawei in all locations, and other programs as indicated. The successful candidate will be experienced in creating a culture utilizing expatriate assignments to help develop a global talent pool. The individual will lead collective efforts around the development and implementation of compensation and benefits strategy at all levels. To design and administer proactive programs, procedures and plans related to compensation, benefits and employee relations around expatriates. This individual develops and/or participates in compensation/benefit surveys to analyze company’s competitive position. Analyze cost-containment strategies for funding programs. Ensures companies compliance with Federal and Provincial laws governing compensation, benefits and employment practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Responsible for the delivery of Corporate HR programs to global regions through HR Region Managers working with HR Operations. Guide Business Leaders and staff on all human resources-related matters. Coordinate the involvement of HR staff, HR Operations and Centers of Excellence, including Compensation Benefits, Talent Management, Learning Development, Recruitment, Diversity, Employee Communications, Health Safety, Organization Development. Responsible for designing, implementing and administering programs, policies and programs for compensation, benefit, rewards/recognition and employee relations that are in relationship with expatriates. Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to establish guidelines and recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems for expatriate’s employees. Recommends company salary structure movements, salary increase budgets. Prepares special studies and makes recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation plans. Generate ideas working with Center s of Excellence and apply change theory to maximize the impact of key business initiatives. Work with Business Leaders of the business unit to evolve the organizational design, staffed with the best leaders. Lead the talent planning process for the business units, including individual development plans, PBC and succession plans. Lead staffing initiatives, working with Centers of Excellence for Recruitment, working with Business Leaders and hiring managers. Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain diverse business teams. Identify potential organizational issues in the business units and working with Centers of Excellence for Organizational Development to develop effective solutions. Serve as an employee’s advocate and conduit of employee perspectives balanced with business needs. Coordinate and manage the responses to employee complaints regarding Human Resources related policies. Seek appropriate legal counsel as needed. Ensure effective internal communication of global messages regarding business initiatives and results working with the Centers of Excellence for Employee Communications. Measure, reports and manage Human Resources metrics, including, but not limited to, turnover, staffing and performance.
