Role Summary/Purpose

The HRM is responsible for implementing and supporting Human Resources (HR) generalist duties for all businesses in GE Healthcare Belgium. This role has local responsibilities of employees in different parts of Healthcare businesses (Healthcare Systems, Healthcare IT, Life Sciences). The HRM is an individual contributor with no direct reports reporting into Country HRM supported by our internal Shared Service Center.

Essential Responsibilities

• Providing leadership, direction and expertise for the full scope of HR functions including: employee relations, employee compensation, employee engagement and organizational design and change
• Leading and leveraging GE HR processes within the business (Performance Management, Salary Planning/Reward Management, Succession Planning and Talent Management), cross-functional communication and the transfer of learning and best practice sharing within the HR network
• Coaching and counseling employees regarding HR policies and procedures relative to transfer, promotion, compensation, benefits and conditions of employment
• Focusing on identification, selection, and retention of world-class talent to ensure a dynamic pipeline of talent
• Serving as an employee advocate, balancing fair labor standards, GE policy and practice and business needs
• Partnering with client leadership and local HR counterparts to plan and execute strategies that ensure maximum engagement of human resource capital
• Proactively managing HR systems in order to maintain integrity of employee and organizational data
• Driving Heathymagination on local level
• Driving simplification projects for GE Healthcare Belgium
• Member of Management Team and legal board

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Organizational Psychology or a related discipline in which business knowledge and an understanding of human resource practices are gained • At least six years’ experience with HR Generalist responsibilities such as recruiting, training, compensation, benefits, employee development or performance management• Outstanding communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization• Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, manage conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment and effectively interface with high-level leaders• Process and detail oriented, including strong organizational and prioritization skills • Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements and experience in working with Works Councils
