Insight Health US is seeking an HR Generalist, that will work onsite in the Manhattan NYC office.  This position will facilitate compliance with local and federal l employment laws, while acting as the sole onsite HR colleague in the Manhattan office.  While demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills, this positing will administer employee health and benefit plans in conjunction with third party vendors. Engaging in online recruiting of new colleagues will be a daily activity. This position is currently part time, at 3 days per week in the Manhattan, NYC office.

Insight Research Group offers full service domestic and international marketing research services to a variety of clients around the world.  Our main business focus is the healthcare sector, conducting research with healthcare professionals and patients on behalf of clients from within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.

Previously a private company set up in 1983, Insight Research Group became part of a group of service companies in 2004, owned by Cello Group plc.  Insight continues to operate as a standalone company. 

HR Generalist Essential Functions:

1.       Actively engages in online recruiting of new colleagues

·         Demonstrated ability in use of locating and attracting candidates via the LinkedIn Recruiter tool, and Monster.com resume search functions.

o   Uses tools daily to establish US employment brand for agency

·         Effectively screen candidates, arrange interviews, and maintain appropriate internal files.

2.       Facilitates company compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws

·         Maintains internal compliance postings, revising in accord with current legislation

·         Manages internal filing system for employment documents

·         Issues appropriate documentation to staff on a regular ongoing basis

·         Suggests revisions or additions to the company handbook as appropriate liaises with vendor (paychex) for internal receipt and senior management legal review

·         Keeps management advised of potential areas of liability non compliance, and offers appropriate solutions

3.       Conducts new employee benefit orientation

·         With senior management direction, Issues written offer letters to potential candidates

·         Arranges for distribution of benefit materials from carriers to new colleagues

·         Liaises with third party vendor to ensure compliance

·         Arranges for on-site vendor visits as appropriate

4.       Administers health and benefit plans in conjunction with third party vendor contract: Paychex.

·         Maintains current knowledge of  insurance regulations

·         Issues appropriate documentation to staff on a regular basis (Ex. Erisa notices, beneficiary forms, etc.)


Essential Skills, Requirements, Education and Experience:

 

·         Bachelor’s Degree required

·          3– 5 years Human Resource experience, preferable in a professional service agency setting

·         Professional in Human Resource (PHR) certification preferred

·         Familiarity with recent legal changes in COBRA, FMLA, ERISA is a plus

·         Demonstrated ability to be productive in a fast paced, unstructured work environment

·         Practices a high level of confidentiality
