To support the continuously business growth and needs in Asia Pacific region, we are currently seeking a HR Generalist to join our organization in Beijing.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This is a full-service HR Generalist role. This position is responsible for HR operation for the region, in supporting, managing the execution of processes for immigration, on boarding and induction of new joiners, employee benefits. The job holder will also be involved in employee relations, talent and performance management initiatives and the Year End compensation and promotion processes. There is an increasing appetite for HR involvement in coaching and support to managers and their teams, and there will be opportunities for the right individual to identify significant HR interventions which they will be encouraged to pursue.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
1.HR Operations
- Work collaboratively with internal external counterparties to manage HR administrative processes for new joiners, leavers;
- Maintain accurate data in all HR Systems on timely basis (Workday is primary HR system with other databases interface to this);
- Produce HR-related official documentation including but not limited to offer letters, disciplinary communications and termination letters;
- Coordinate international transfers and manage the employee mobility process;
- Be involved in all aspects of the Year End process to help ensure that performance management, annual reviews, compensation decisions and promotions are successfully completed;
- Provide HR-related statistics reports as per requirements;
- Co-ordinate attendance reporting and holiday/sickness leave processes;
- Other general HR administration.
2.HR Business Partnering
- Act as important source of HR expertise in North Asia where there are MSCI establishments;
- Provide remote HR support to other locations in APAC region;
- Proactively advise employees and management in order to resolve employee relation issues, act as a confidant for employees and managers to assist them in performance and work-related issues;
- Field general HR queries / consultation from clients;
- Provide support and guidance to management team on office and cultural initiatives.
3.Local market compliance
- Maintain local HR processes, policies and procedures to ensure that they support MSCI strategic goals and culture;
- Contribute to the development of, and implement, MSCI global and regional policies and procedures, tailoring to local requirements where appropriate.
4.Projects
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and global initiatives as required;
- Review HR administration and help identify systems integration efficiency improvement opportunities.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree or above;
- Around 5 years working experience in Human Resources function in a matrix, international organization;
- Friendly and approachable for employees to ask questions of;
- Confident to deal with questions from managers and employees;
- Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize work load accordingly;
- Excellent team player, able to work with minimum supervision in a “virtual” global team environment;
- Good communication interpersonal skills;
- Fluent verbal written English capabilities;
- Professional, proactive, positive, flexible with strong work ethic, efficient, reliable, detail-oriented and willing-to-do attitude.
