Department Overview

The Client Relationship Teams (CRT) provide generalist HR support for the Barclays businesses in the Americas. Activities covered include lateral recruitment, talent, performance management, compensation, workforce planning and development, and employee relations advice. The CRTs are the first line of HR response to employee queries and provide support to senior managers in managing the people issues within their businesses. The CRTs are aligned by Infrastructure and Front Office businesses.

Main Function

There are 4 key responsibilities of this generalist role:

Providing front-line HR generalist and resourcing coverage to a portfolio of clients within the Front Office

Working closely with clients in an advisory capacity

Communicating business priorities to HR specialist teams and interfacing with them to ensure delivery of HR products and services to the business.

Supporting the Global Business Partner for Front Office to ensure that Global HR strategies are delivered and objectives are met.

Main Duties To build credibility with the client base andto be seen as a true partner by becoming well versed in the business and developing a comprehensive understanding of HR strategies, policies and procedures
To be the key HR interface for the Front Office clients for HR advice and guidanc To directly manage and ensure resourcing needs of the client groups are me To be the prime HR contact for US-based clients in relation to initiatives and activities with a global reach or direct US HR impact. To work in partnership with the regions to deliver global strategy and plans To provide advice and identify HR opportunities with senior managers, ensuring solutions are effectively delivered To represent HR in key client forums to ensure the HR implications of business activities are well planned and understood in the early stages, and appropriate action taken. To communicate these outcomes to appropriate HR global partners, as necessary To lead the roll out of key global HR processes within the specific client areas, in conjunction with relevant HRBP, regional HR / specialist HR support (eg. Performance Management, Comp and Ben., Campus Recruitment) to ensure they are successfully planned, communicated, managed and delivered to the global plan To work with specialist ER in the US and other regions, to ensure issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively with due regard to risk and legislation.

Person Requirements

Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree Minimum 6 years as an HR generalist with specific experience working in a global investment bank or a large financial services organization Analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to incorporate metrics and analysis into HR delivery Prior experience must include ability to manage high volumes of work, execute flawlessly, and understand HR processes.
