Provides advanced HR support to business partners. Ensures consistent application of policies and procedures. Serves as a liaison with internal departments/divisions and/or outside organizations. Administers core human resource processes including employment, labor and employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management and workforce planning to assigned business units. Consults with leadership on strategic and tactical human resources issues. Develops and/or implements employee programs and services. Ensures adherence to State and Federal laws and regulations as well as Cox's employment policies and practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES
Creates, champions, and implements new and innovative programs, which positively impact the organization, demonstrating initiative and innovation in achieving results.

Consults and partners with business partners to accomplish shared accountabilities.

Understands the critical strategic issues facing the system and responds appropriately.

Stays abreast of current techniques, methods and skills appropriate to own related function.

Develops and facilitates proactive initiatives of Employee Relations interventions, as applicable to business partnerships and Company mission.

Assists in the fostering and administration of Diversity and Equal Employment Opportunity programs. Speaks and writes clearly with sensitivity to diverse audiences.

Provides ongoing career development assistance to employees through counseling, diagnostic instruments and training programs.

Evaluates organizational design and specific HR effectiveness by investigating problem areas and recommending solutions alternatives to senior leadership.

Partners with leadership to design and implement programs to improve the employee experience, performance, health, safety and satisfaction through educational and motivational programs in alignment with system goals.

At times, leads a team of individual contributors within the Human Resources function, facilitating project mgmt.

Is not only proficient at the highest level, but also serves as a coach, mentor, and / or role model for other team members.

Demonstrates high ethical standards and personal integrity.

Assist department leaders by consulting and helping to develop solution strategies on a variety of employee and organizational issues.

Provide counsel to employees on matters related to job performance, fairness, EEO, harassment and offensive environment claims.

Conduct HR training sessions for department leadership and employees.

Interprets policies and procedures.

Complete complex project on deadline in conjunction with day to day activities allocating resources to match production needs as necessary to support department goals and mission.

Interacts with all levels of Cox employees. Listens effectively and communicates recommendations for the purpose of improvement and resolution.

Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution, able to influence others to deal with change positively.

Accountable for supporting and maximizing opportunities to build RGU growth and positively influencing the customer experience.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED
10 years experience in Human Resources including Recruiting, Compliance, and Compensation.

7+ years experience in Employee Relations including experience as a business partner.

Thorough knowledge of employment law and Human Resources principals and practices.

Exposure to and knowledge of labor environment a plus.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Effective listening, communication and resolution skills for employee issues and concerns.

Creative program/policy development and ability to implement.

Requires excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to speak clearly, articulate and hear detailed or important information.

Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse employee population.

Ability to conceive new approaches, streamline processes, and create positive customer interactions.

Strong time management, project management skills, stress management skills and the ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

Ability to apply proactive management principles with sound judgment and influence.

EDUCATION: BA/BS required. Masters a plus.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel to Connecticut and Cleveland as business needs dictate. Ability to travel to all Cox NE locations as well as ability to travel nationally, to other Cox locations, as needed for trainings, meetings, projects, etc.
