HR Generalist Job in Alexandria 22302, Virginia US

Our client was founded nearly nineteen years ago, and provides Management, Information Technology
Support, Security and Intelligence Operations Support Services to a range of Federal agencies,
non-profit organizations, and private companies. They are a small, woman-owned business, with several
federal government contracting vehicles including MOBIS and schedule 084 for security.

They are currently seeking an HR Generalist in Alexandria, VA.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for all Human Resources activities, including but not limited to:

• Salary administration
• Job evaluation
• Performance appraisal
• Merit and other salary increases
• Incentive plans
• Life, health, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plans
• Analyzing and determining human capital needs organization-wide; formulating and developing plans,
procedures, and programs to meet specific and development needs; and consulting with senior management
on management assessment and development, leadership/executive development, organizational design, and
change management initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Federal contracting experience, to include knowledge of EEO-1 and VETS-100A compliance.
• 3-5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience in a fast-paced professional environment.
• A successful track record of designing and implementing organization-wide systems that align with
and advance organizational goals.
• Comprehensive understanding of theory and practices supporting human capital strategies that optimize
business performance.
• Demonstrated ability to provide executive-level coaching on performance management, career development,
leadership development, and succession planning issues.
• Experience leading teams and working collaboratively to accomplish outcomes.
• Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust throughout the
organization.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills are required.
• Must have a professional attitude and demeanor, great customer service skills, and the ability to
multi-task in a time-critical environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in a business-related or human resources field is preferred. PHR is a plus.
