General Responsibilities:

The HR Generalist is responsible to partner with the HR Team in all aspects of Human Resources at Evenflo’s headquarters in Miamisburg, Ohio including, salaried benefits administration, employee counseling and discipline, onboarding, policy development, interpretation and application, applicant tracking, interviewing, and hiring.

 

Examples of Typical Activities:

·            Maintain employee  data in the HRIS System

·            Develop and maintain spreadsheets for employee deductions

·            Maintain, update and create job profiles.

·            Manage, administer and communicate company benefit programs.

·            Develop and enforce policies and procedures.

·            Work with Management on employee discipline issues.

·            Ensure company compliance (annual EEO report, submissions for workers compensation, pension valuation, SAR distribution).

·            Employee on-boarding

·           Prepare and distribute the corporate monthly census report.

·           Update and maintain Human Resource metrics reports.

·           Support the benefit open enrollment process.

·           Coordinate wellness initiatives such as employee health fair, walking club, monthly lunch and learns, flu shots, healthy snacks, etc.

·           Work with leadership to develop department budget.

·            Recruiting non-exempt and exempt employees

 

Required Experience

BS Degree preferred; a minimum of 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience; PHR preferred

 

Required Technical Competencies

·          Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

·          Computer proficiency:  Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point and an HRIS system.

·          In-depth understanding of government regulations in all areas of Human Resources.

·          Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.

·          Experience with a variety of benefit programs and their administration.

·          Strong project management skills.
