The HR Generalist provides routine support for recruiting, employee relations, and safety; and assists Regional HR Manager in more complex initiatives.

Job Duties
Hourly recruiting and selection (in partnership with supervisor), orientation and facilitating benefit enrollment.

Maintains various data, records, and logs including applicant tracking, accident reporting and investigation, exit interviews, job postings, and collecting and processing employee forms. Administers drug testing, wellness and health monitoring programs.

Advises managers and assists with counseling/disciplinary actions up to final warning. Participates in internal investigations and termination decisions.

Supports and coordinates ongoing employee and management communications on business performance, policies, initiatives, etc. Responds to employee and manager inquiries for information or clarification. Ensures an open door policy/practice for all employees to seek resolution to work problems.

Consults with managers and health care professionals to evaluate the need for, develop and implement accommodations, return-to-work, light-duty, and other responses for disabled employees.

Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations, including unemployment and worker's compensation hearings.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university;
and three to five years human resource experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in manufacturing, distribution or retail HR is preferred.

PHR certification is a plus.

Must possess current driver's license and be able to travel up to 30% as requested, for example to deliver training and/or participate in special projects or meetings. Given ours is a 24 x 6 work environment, occasional off hour meetings will be necessary.
