HR Manager

We are a well known global commodities trading business with offices in Europe, Asia and America.

Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced HR professional with a number of years experience in the commodities trading sector.

 

Reporting to the Head of HR, your responsibilities / accountabilities will include but not be limited to:

- Lead the HR team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business.

- In consultation with the Head of HR, prepare and implement the annual HR Plan to support the overall strategic aims and objectives of the Board.

- Identify, design and implement strategic HR projects, as and when required.

- Performance Management coaching line managers on performance management issues and processes.

- Employee Relations managing absence, disciplinaries, grievances, sickness etc.

- Recruitment retention - managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns.

- Coaching line managers on interview techniques, specifically competenecy based interviews.

- Learning Development providing guidance on development for managers and their teams.

- Training - Implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement.

- In conjunction with the Head of HR, ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law. Ensure line managers are up to date with changes to any policies.

- Managing HR budgets- Deal with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills.

- Policy procedures implementation of new HR  policies, procedures and processes.

- Other ad hoc duties as required.

 

You must have:

- A minimum 8 years relevant experience, of which at least 3 years should be for a leading commodities trading business.

- Superb communication skills honed in business partnering/advisory roles.

- Managed or supervised a team, or be ready to step up that challenge.

- Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) together with evidence of continuing professional development.

- Degree (or equivalent)

- Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the executive team.

- Ability to represent the Human Resource function as part of the bigger business picture.

- Confident directing HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and development.

- Demonstrable experience in managing TUPE, redundancy or other relevant HR projects.

- Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of employment law and HR best practice.

- A professional and commercial approach to HR, with the ability to deliver high employee satisfaction, appropriate development and reward for individuals.
