Our Dallas oil and gas client is currently seeking an experienced HR Manager for its office in Dallas, Texas. This person will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and will provide Human Resources Generalist support to client groups at the corporate office and field exploration production groups in Texas, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Primary responsibilities include:
Heavy emphasis on recruiting and retention;
Assisting employees with general questions relating to HR policies/procedures;
Providing guidance to managers regarding the interpretation and administration of Company policies and procedures;
Counseling/consulting on employee performance and other employee relations issues;
Addressing needs of employees and the Company by developing and facilitating training programs
Requirements:
Requires a BS/BA degree with 7-10 years generalist background with supervisory experience;
Experience in Oil Gas industry would be a strong plus
Candidate must have broad-based generalist experience including recruitment and staffing, employee relations, training development
Requires strong verbal and written communications skills, excellent interpersonal, relationship building and influencing skills
Candidate must be able work effectively with managers including upper management, field personnel and HR teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to changes quickly
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and have prior experience with HRIS.
Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time is required
PHR/SPHR certification is preferred.
