Job Responsibilities:

·       Supervise all day-to-day aspects of the Human Resources function.

·       Oversee the advertising, recruiting, interviewing and selection of staff for open positions.

·       Assist in the screening of incoming correspondence and phone contacts from candidates interested in open positions as well as, organize the proper scheduling of interviews.

·       Ensure timely response to all candidates interested in employment opportunities.

·       Assist in supervising the request and monitoring the receipt of written references, criminal history background checks, INS Employment eligibility verifications and other human resources related correspondence.

·       Supervise the processing and administration of new employees and volunteers.  This includes ensuring that all proper and necessary paperwork is completed, and material is orderly and properly placed in personnel files.

·       Supervise and provide the quality control for the day-to-day work activities of the Human Resources staff.

·       Develop and maintain regular contact with various recruitment sources, such as community agencies, local colleges and universities, and various focused human services organizations.

·       Attend unemployment phone hearings process unemployment paperwork

·       Handle all worker’s compensation issues including communications with adjusters following up on open claims

·       Maintain payroll for all employees.

·       Receive and input all payroll time sheets for all departments.

·       Maintain accurate payroll records on site.

·       File all forms related to payroll reports.

·       All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

A Bachelors degree, preferably in Human Resources Management, or three years experience in managing a mid-size Human Resources Office preferred. Payroll and/or bookkeeping-accounting experience preferred.  Must possess and demonstrate strong clerical, data input, organizational skills, and organizational, interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills.
