HR Manager
In order to strengthen the organisation Yara Pilbara is looking for a well-qualified and experienced HR professional for the position of HR manager. This position will head the HR function reporting directly to the CEO of the company and be part of the management team of the company. Yara Pilbara currently has employee strength of around 100 between its corporate office in Perth and the plant at Karratha.
The HR Manager will also be responsible for implementing Yara’s global HR initiatives and will be part of Yara’s global HR organisation. This is an opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team within a global leading chemical company.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead HR administrative processes (recruitment processes, manage employment contracts and records, payroll, budget input, insurances, pension administration, holiday administration, salary increase processes, contract and vendor management etc.)
- Manage recruitment of employees from local as well as international talent
- Support line managers to identify, prioritise and build organisational capabilities, behaviours, structures and processes
- Provide advice to managers on HR processes specially related to production plant employees at Karratha
- Coach line managers and provide professional HR guidance and support (compensation and benefits, performance management, employee development and succession planning, retention schemes, reorganisation and redundancy management etc.)
- Manage and implement HR projects and strategic initiatives
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Strong interpersonal skills (build effective relationships and influence with leaders on all levels)
- Leadership skills
- Business knowledge (strategy, process and standards) within a multinational corporation is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of HR management, processes and tools
- Good team player, excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Change management and coaching skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Bachelors degree in HR management or related field, master degree preferred
- Minimum 10 to 15 years experience in Human Resources management is a must
- Experience in managing a large manufacturing plant or related organisation is a must
- Experience in managing and implementing projects and strategic change initiatives in international, multicultural environment is preferred
- Some travelling will be required
