HR Operations Specialist Job in Seacroft Leeds LS142AR, Yorkshire UK

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for an experienced HR Operations Specialist at Unilever's Leeds manufacturing facility in Seacroft, Leeds. This is a full time, temp role for 12 months, paying £27 to £30K depending on experience.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Commencing March 2012 for approx 12 months we required a temporary person to cover the role of HR Operations Specialist, to support the Sourcing Unit (factories) and Category Departments on site, reporting into the HR Manager.

This role will act as an operational and transactional support interface between HR Business Partner/ Line Managers and the service delivery teams.

Skills and Competencies

The following are important for this role:

* Good demonstration of all relevant SOL competencies; with the ability to manage own workload and projects with minimal supervision
* An ability to quickly understand and work within the Unilever H.R. shared services framework.
* Strong organizational skills - must be able to manage multiple requests and to prioritise activities.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Personal credibility (with both the site management team and trade union representatives)
* An ability to put H.R. policies into practice in a consistent and professional manner

Experience

The following experience preferred as limited training and line manager supervision will be available for this maternity cover period

* Experience working in HR or similar environment
* Ability to coaching and train line managers in the full range of ER issues, especially, pay and benefits, absence control, performance management, disciplinary and grievance etc.
* A knowledge of U.K. employment law and key employee policies and processes
* Excellent IT skills, Excel / Powerpoint / HR Database ie. Oracle/ Reporting tools / Time Attendance Systems.
