HR Relationship Manager, Global iShares, Global Client Group recruitment

HR RM's partner closely with senior business leaders to drive the BlackRock Talent Agenda, consult on critical talent decisions, and achieve operational excellence for the business. Role Purpose:

• To serve as the lead HR partner at both strategic and tactical levels to the iShares Global Product and Global Capital markets senior leaders.
• Collaborate with HR colleagues across the firm and internal/external partners to deliver world-class HR services.

CONSULT AND SUPPORT THE BUSINESS:

• Provide informed HR consulting and execution to the senior leaders to ensure that their talent strategy, goals and priorities are driven by business need and aligned with the firm's Talent Agenda

• Partner with the business on all key talent decisions, providing HR advice and expertise, tailored for a business in a growth cycle. Leverage subject matter experts form the wider HR functions as appropriate.

• Drive delivery of key firm wide talent initiatives in collaboration with the iShares and GCG HR Teams; contribute subject matter expertise and thought leadership to firm wide initiatives

• Develop iShares business knowledge and expertise, striving to be a "subject matter expert" on iShares within HR. Gain and maximize a full understanding of the client's objectives, goals and issues.

• Support the clients with navigating change, developing solutions and tailoring HR programs to support employee engagement and retention.

• Serve as a catalyst for a One BlackRock culture, by respecting the uniqueness of the iShares employer brand and its importance to the client, while supporting it's evolution under the umbrella of the BlackRock whole team approach.

• Collaborate and develop high performing partnerships with the Global COO for iShares, Legal, Compliance, Finance and other internal key relationships critical for success.

COMPENSATION:

• Understand and take a leadership role in the application of the firm's compensation philosophy and processes through proactive consultation with the client and partnership with the compensation team.

• Ensure that compensation issues of key concern to the client (either individuals, teams or external trends or marketplace development) are identified, assessed and where appropriate, resolved in partnership with the Compensation team.

RECRUITING:

• Work with the talent acquisition team to ensure delivery of effective hiring and resourcing pans, attracting the most talented, skills and diverse workforce by cost effectively leveraging the employer brand.

• Support the business with organizational change and development as necessary influencing leaders to address complex organizational design issues where required for business success.

TALENT MANAGEMENT:

• Support the Global iShares talent agenda - and focus efforts to recognize, retain and develop talent throughout the iShares team, including ongoing culture, engagement, leadership and management development initiatives/programs

• Partner with the Talent Management team to ensure delivery of the annual performance management cycle, including Talent Review, Succession Planning, Performance Management, Promotions and Development Planning.

• Support the Talent Management team in terms of the assessment, insights and understanding of the development and leadership needs analysis for the iShares business.

• Provide expert counsel and coaching to support the iShares senior leaders in their roles and with their own personal development.

SHARED SERVICES:

• Support the delivery of effective and efficient people services through a detailed understanding of employee benefit plans/expat programs, HR Operations-guiding clients on what we offer and "experts" to assist with specific situations as necessary.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS:

• Ensure effective partnership with the HR Compliance and Risk Mitigation team, legal counsel, Global HR RM and other key stakeholders on the identifications, escalation, risk mitigation and resolution of employee relationship issues.

TEAM MANAGEMENT:

• Support individuals with ongoing coaching, feedback and professional development to ensure each team member possesses critical competencies key to success.

Experience:

• Experience in an HR Relationship Manager / HR Business Partner role
• Demonstrated expertise and experience serving in a consultative capacity to senior business leaders, shaping organizational strategy, goals and alignment
• Experience working across cultures and in a matrixes environment strongly preferred
• Experience successfully leading and driving organizational change
• Ability to execute firm wide talent initiatives with excellence in a fast paced, global corporate environment; commitment to innovation and continuous improvement
• Demonstrated expertise building consensus on a cross-functional basis
• Accomplishments to date articulate a detailed knowledge and understanding of the wider external HR environment and how best practices can be adapted/developed to support firm wide strategies.
• Proven experience developing and implementing comprehensive talent management strategies.
• Employee Relations expertise covering US employment law is essential and a working knowledge of California employment law would be desirable.
• Track record of dealing with complex organizational design issues and leading large scale organizational design efforts
• Ability to develop workforce planning strategies, incorporating understanding of diversity requirements.
• Demonstrated experience and ability of building, leading and motivating a high performing team (both local and remotely).
• BA/BS degree; certifications and course work in specific areas of HR expertise
