Provides technical administration support for the Kronos time and Attendance application as well as responsible for regular time administration processes for ongoing payroll.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Support Kronos system development based on user needs and within the framework of HRIS governance
- Independently perform tasks within the Kronos environment in response to user needs while implementing and maintaining best practices
- Manage time administration period-end activities including review of exceptions, unprocessed pay data, reconcile errors for regular payroll processes.
- Support enterprise time and attendance needs through acquisition due diligence and integration processes as needed in accordance with HRIS governance structure
- Ensure security of HR and Payroll information through established HR and IT protocol
- Prepare and validate reports for employee data contained in the HRIS in response to requests from users
- Provides assistance in needed areas of applications that includes testing, design and analysis
- Develop training and documentation of system use for users
- Research new techniques in the development of systems and maintain knowledge of current trends and strategies in technology fields relating to HRIS
- Analyze HR and Payroll processes and make recommendations for improvement
- Proactively and reactively identify and resolve functional and technical issues with HRIS systems. Work in collaboration with IT department as needed.
- Moderate administration, configuration, and customization of HRIS systems including, but not limited to, Kronos Time and Attendance system
- Work with vendors and service providers toward problem resolution and understanding best practices
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in area of specialty or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of Kronos application administrator experience, minimum version 5.0 preferably 6.1 or 6.2
- Must be detailed oriented, able to work independently and have strong organizational skills
- Able to effectively work as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects at one time and be able to effectively handle changing conditions
- Must be able to travel overnight as required
Technical Skills
- Proficient report writing experience
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience working within structured projects a plus
