Job Summary
The HR/Payroll Specialist will provide HR/Payroll Support services to HRO clients according to Ceridian contract and governmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading client communications in problem resolution
- Primary roles are ensuring payrolls are processed, reconciled, audited and transmitted accurately and timely
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee changes, payments and payroll processing for assigned clients
- Interface with various teams in Service Center to ensure all deadlines are met and payroll processes accurately and timely
- Receives escalated issues from Call Center regarding payroll issues, researches and takes appropriate actions
- Provide back up support for Shared Services team members
- Case Management of all HR/Payroll matters
- Ensures compliance with internal and external guidelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience in a client setting
- High volume (1000+) payroll experience in a deadline driven environment desired
- Benefits experience a plus
- Experience in a human Resource outsourcing or consulting industry preferred
- Accounting knowledge required
- Proficiency in windows, MS Word, Excel
- Ceridian product knowledge a plus
- Strong customer service acumen
- Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management with multi tasking ability, strong customer focus, problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to resolve employee's issues and provide superior customer service to internal and external partners
- CPP and/or Accounting Associates Degree Desired
