Job Purpose Serve as case manager and point of contact all associates to consult, resolve and make recommendations surrounding Associate Relations related issues. Conduct investigations, and coach and provide counsel to leaders through a consultative and partnering approach to resolve Associate Relations issues with minimal guidance from HR Leadership. The HR Generalist aligns through effective collaboration and partnership with the HR Specialists within the HR Service Center, HR Business Partners and other centers of expertise to resolve issues and minimize risk. Job Responsibilities Uses thorough and in-depth HR knowledge to guide, educate and coach business leaders and associates on HR policies and procedures, legal matters and associate coaching and development. Conducts investigations and provides findings and recommendations. Provides guidance and recommendations to business leaders on counseling process and termination. Partners with appropriate business leaders and/or HR management in supporting organizational change efforts, as well as reductions in force. Develops and implements mentor and training program for HRSC Specialists and Generalists. Using excellent communication, customer service and negotiating skills, provide associates accurate, consistent and timely responses and explanations regarding HR related questions and issues. Focused on setting expectation level for associate and demonstrating customer-driven ethics based upon developed SOPs for service. Develops and maintains relationships with vendors, team members, and Centers of Expertise (Tier III) to support efficient research and coordination of issue resolution to inquiries. Supports organization on varying training efforts. Back up HRSC Generalists on Tier II case management and LOA. Back up HRSC Specialists on Tier I level phone and email support. Performs additional HR tasks and/or special projects, as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent applicable Human Resources experience. PHR/SPHR desired. Minimum four years of HR experience. Experience in associate relations and investigations are required. Experience in administering leave of absences is required. Minimum two years customer service experience. Ability to comprehend and interpret HR and/or corporate policies and procedures. Ability to respond inquiries or complaints from associates, co-workers and/or supervisors, as well as ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to comprehend and create instructions, correspondence and investigation summaries. Ability to communicate with associates of all levels. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations - advanced analytical skills. Demonstrates organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking and follow up skills. Ability to learn and use technology to perform job requirements. Ability conduct presentations and on the job training.
