Reporting into the senior HR Consultant, Executrade seeks an experienced generalist who has a true passion for employee relations. We are looking for someone who also enjoys project work and the opportunity to work with a strong leadership team. Working out of the corporate office, this publically traded organization requires someone who is motivated, has excellent time management skills, and above all else, has a passion for people!
Key duties for the HR Advisor will include the following:
- Employee relations for a large portfolio of staff in western Canada
- Providing performance management support and guidance
- Ensuring all management teams are following company policies and provincial legislation
- Assisting in providing guidance and support to management and employees in the resolution and documentation of employee problems and/or responding to employee complaints
- Delivering communications (email, intranet, webinar, etc.) to ensure that employees feel connected to the organization; expand HR communications to introduce new avenues for connecting to HR information
- Full cycle recruitment as required
- Assisting in updating and delivering health and safety programs and other training initiatives
- Assisting in the administration of employee rewards and recognition programs (e.g. service awards, etc.)
- Taking ownership of special projects as required-ie employee satisfaction surveys
- Keeping abreast of applicable legislation and industry best practices that may impact corporate policies and procedures
- Ensuring integrity and security of data; ensure employee files meet audit standards and filing is kept up-to-date
- Occasional travel outside of Edmonton
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of wide scope HR duties required
- Proven successful employee relations experience in past roles
- Post secondary education an asset, with completion of, or working on your CHRP ideal
- Previous experience in with an organization with multiple locations
- Proven ability to work within a fast-paced team environment
- Past experience working in a large HR team an asset
- Ability to move from one pressing deadline to the next, juggling various duties is a must!
- Working knowledge of employment standards and human rights legislation in various provinces
- Basic knowledge and exposure to health and safety policies and programs
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships with management and employees; this includes good customer service, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Highly organized with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- strong written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail
- A can-do attitude, with a strong results orientation
- strong computer skills with a proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive business and employee information
- Past experience working in a warehouse setting an asset
