Human Resources Assistant Job in Carbondale 18407, Pennsylvania US

Hendrick Manufacturing Company, the country's largest privately held metal perforator, is looking for a Human Resources Assistant!

This position encompasses responsibility for providing administrative support to all Hendrick locations.  To qualify as a Human Resources Assistant an individual must be able to perform all of the following:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 Must have a high school diploma.

  1. It is a preferred that the ideal candidate have an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and/or Human Resources or a related field.

 

Skills:

  1. Requires above average computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
  2. Requires excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  3. Requires ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  4. Requires capacity to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  5. Requires good organizational skills.

 

Knowledge:

  1. Must possess the ability to create mail merge documents used in mass mailings, create original Excel spreadsheets, access databases, etc.
  2. Must be familiar with operation of SAGE Abra or a related HRIS/HRMS.
  3. Should be familiar with FMLA, COBRA, Workers Compensation, Unemployment benefits, etc.
  4. Working knowledge to maintain record keeping and report filing.

 

Experience:

  1. Minimum of two to five years experience in a human resource environment.

 

Supervision:

  1. Position requires individual to work with minimal supervision after initial training.

 

Physical Demands:

  1. Requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
  2. Sitting for extended periods of time.
  3. Stooping, bending, stretching, walking as necessary.
  4. Requires high degree of attention to detail.
  5. Appropriate business attire

 

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a well lighted, well ventilated clean manufacturing and office environment.
