Provides administrative and technical assistance to the Human Resources department by performing the duties listed below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assists in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees
· Answers incoming telephone calls for the HR department, screens calls, and refers to proper person for handling
· Answer routine inquiries from inside and outside the company, such as, but not limited to, employment verifications, benefits claim questions, and job openings
· Assists in administration of compensation program; helps to monitor performance appraisal process
· Participates in benefits administration to include customer service, claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees
· Assists with new employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks; initiates background checks and tracks results
· Responsible for the security badge system; create new hire badges, grant access and arrange for building access as necessary
· Assists in exit interview process
· Complete Employment Verification letters
· Assists in organizational training and development efforts
· Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed
· Maintains employee personnel files in accordance with company policies and government regulations. Retains records in accordance with company and government retention requirements
· Create personnel files and file employee records on a weekly basis
· Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
· Organize quarterly committee meetings by reserving space, sending out invitations/reference materials and tracking attendance. Take meeting minutes for quarterly committee meetings
· Order supplies; office supplies for the department, maintain shirt inventory and other logo items for use in recruiting
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Licensing/Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources preferred.
- 1 to 2 years Human Resources experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
