The Human Resources Business Analyst, reporting jointly to the Director, Corporate HR and the Director, Compensation and Benefits, will provide technical and end-user support for the HR module of the JD Edwards ERP, while coordinating with other JD Edwards corporate resources to bring about maximum system effectiveness and utilization.  The incumbent will define and gain support for strategic initiatives, as well as lead the advancement and maintenance of the HR module, while engaging with the client base in a proactive and positive fashion.  The position also supports other HR technology solutions (for example: complex Excel spreadsheets, etc.) and analysis opportunities which may exist outside of the ERP foundation.  Key outcomes include the analysis of business data leading to actionable business solutions.  While technical skills and detail orientation are essential for the role, interpersonal skills and a well-rounded understanding of the HR function are critical.

·         Functions as the SME for the HR module of JD Edwards and all other HR related technology resources.  Serves as the advocate/champion for effective system utilization throughout the organization.

·         Conducts complex data extraction and analysis activities as a part of work efforts or in support of others on the HR team.  Data extraction/analysis includes weekly maintenance files to third-party vendors, HR metrics, the job applicant tracking system and validating the 401(k) employer match calculation for accuracy.

·         Designs and creates ad hoc reports as needed to respond to surveys and other unique data requests.

·         Builds and maintains effective working relationships across the HR, IT and business organizations that allow for the development and execution of strategy, action plans, and ongoing system and project initiatives.

·         Provides end-user system support to drive desired effective system utilization and meaningful information outputs.  Manages an effective environment for responding to customer inquiries or problems via telephone, online networks and mail, ensuring timely response, analysis and issue resolution for the customer.

·         Identifies and documents all system requirements (translating business objectives into technology requirements), including the project’s vision and scope, requirements definition, development of design documents, and coordination with development and operations.  Maintains project management role through project completion.

·         Creates test plans and leads QA/test activities for configuration and implementation activities.

·         Conducts thorough testing of designed processes ensuring alignment with customer requirements and documented functionality.

·         Coordinates with IT and/or external vendors to resolve system issues and bugs requiring technical intervention.

·         Identifies training needs and the resulting design, development, management and facilitation of training curriculum.

·         Participates in vendor (Oracle) conferences, webcasts and user group communities.
