Position Description:
The Human Resources team has an opening for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) requiring a combination of broad-range HR knowledge/experience involving all phases of the employee life cycle and extensive general management/leadership experience in a corporate setting.
This position has primary HR responsibility for their assigned business units (BU), which currently includes Finance, IT, Marketing and Product Assurance. It also manages and delivers HR generalist functions throughout employee life cycle, reaching out to HR Centers of Expertise when deeper subject-matter expertise is needed. Specific responsibilities include leadership, consultation and advice to the management as follows:
- Employee Relations – coaching, counseling, feedback on people-related issues/actions
- Management/Leadership Development
- Team Development
- Performance Management (including disciplinary process)
- Total Compensation
- HR policies, guidelines, compliance
- Workforce Planning Proactive Retention
- Employee Recognition Employee Communications
- Provides BU key HR metrics; prepares and presents reports as required
- Facilitation of organizational change management processes
- Works closely with HR Centers of Expertise (recruiting, HRIS, Comp Benefits, LD etc.) to deliver HR services

Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
- Knowledge of Federal, state and local laws relating to HR; PHR Certification preferred
- Broad knowledge of HR functional disciplines (e.g., organizational development, talent management, employee relations, staffing, and compensation/benefits)
- Understanding of business/financial measurements and experience with managing the unique HR challenges associated with selected business partnerships and potential mergers / acquisitions
- Organizational and project management skills
- Ability to establish rapport and credibility with all levels of the BU in order to be a trusted advisor
- Effective listener and problem-solver of people issues, able to serve as spokesperson and role model for ethics and corporate values
- Comfort with ambiguity; ability to thrive in a matrix environment (accountability to HR function and BU management)
- In possession of a government clearance and/or able to secure government clearance preferred.
