Human Resources Business Partner recruitment
Job Purpose:
To partner with business leaders and managers as well as the local and regional HR teams and Centers of Excellence by providing high quality HR support and advice across the full range of HR activities.
The businesses supported by the incumbent are:
- CitiTrust
- Citi Corporate Banking
- Citi Markets
- Citi Transaction Services
- Global Functions (e.g. Finance, Compliance etc.)
Job Background/context:
Citi in Switzerland consists of approximately 500 employees located in Zurich and Geneva. The main employers are the ICG businesses as well as OT.
This role is part of the Swiss HR team and responsible for providing day-to-day HR support to a population of approximately 150. The businesses covered consist of a demanding population which requires a strong HR partner who thrives in a fast-paced and commercially minded environment.
A key aspect of being an HR Business Partner in country is partnering with the Regional Centers of Excellence and the Western Europe Coordinator streams (including Compensation and Benefits, Resourcing, Talent, Learning and Development, Diversity and Working Smarter). As a result the incumbent recruited into this role will have the opportunity to support on a variety of local and regional projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support regional HR and line management in implementing and maintaining HR strategies, policies and initiatives
(e.g. VOE, Diversity, Mobility etc). - Support and assist line management in e.g. recruitment/selection of candidates, negotiation and preparation of employment contracts/transfers, performance management, employee relations, compensation, training, development and talent management, reward and recognition, change management and organizational development.
- Provide employees with guidance and counsel on HR policy and activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with line mangers and HR professionals across Citi. Ensure continual communication, consistency and integrity of function.
- Work with HR colleagues and specialists on non-routine aspects of employment activity.
- Provide proactive HR support for cyclical activities such as the compensation process, salary surveys, talent inventory, benefits initiatives/reviews etc.
- Work with line management on "raising the bar" and to manage performance levels.
- Manage an effective recruitment process. Work with local recruitment providers, Resourcing COE and business seniors regarding staffing needs lateral recruitment process and ensure quality/cost effective service to the client group. Actively support internal staff mobility.
- Assist in coaching and training managers in all core people management processes.
- Support the Swiss Talent Board activities. Help to coordinate career development succession plans, identify training needs and provide training solutions to client groups. Ensure appropriate development actions are taken for hi po/deep reach talent.
- Play an active role in facilitating Diversity initiatives.
- Adhere to internal policies, guidelines and controls as well as complete all required training in a timely fashion in order to help safeguarding the HR function from a Risk Control point of view.
- Actively participate in regional and ad-hoc HR projects and initiatives.

Skills
Knowledge/Experience:
- HR Business partner experience of 4-8 years with specific client group accountability.
- Broad experience across the key HR functions of resourcing, performance management, talent and career development, compensation, change management and organizational development.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in building partnerships and leading change in a matrixed environment.
- Experience of Swiss employment law and policies highly desirable.
- Experience of working within a highly matrixed structure, with multiple stakeholders.
- Financial services experience; experience supporting a Front Office business would be highly desirable.
- Good understanding of Citi policies and practices would be preferred.
- Good understanding of complex Human Resources and business processes to continually improve HR processes.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, HR Management or related discipline would be very beneficial.
