Human Resources Business Partner recruitment

This newly created position will be responsible for supporting the Firm's Investment Team leadership in recruiting, performance management, training and development.  He/she will work closely with the Investment Team leadership and Head of HR on helping implement and administer the Investment Team's management programs including development plans for staff, workforce planning and team organization structure.  
Successful candidates will be required to:

•Work as a HR business partner, providing extensive HR solutions and strategy to the investment team
•Work with the Investment Team Committee, CIO and Head of HR on performance reviews, year-end, talent management and succession planning
•Ability to sort through information and develop concise and clear solutions and effectively deliver complex and sensitive feedback in an advisory and coaching role
•Provide advice to managers and employees on all employee relations matters
•Together with the Head of HR ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws relating to employee relation issues, hiring and termination process
•Full management of the recruiting process from sourcing, screening feedback gathering, reference checks and negotiation of offers
•Onboarding new hires, assist with the integration of new hires into Matthews
•Establish relationships with hiring managers to get a full understanding of their business objectives, challenges and skill-set requirements
•Provide consultative expertise to hiring managers as it pertains to recruitment processes, including partnering with managers to write job descriptions, set recruiting strategies and include assessing internal and external talent and sourcing passive and diverse candidate
•Experience attracting sourcing and screen candidates using a variety of innovative techniques including social networking and direct sourcing

QUALIFICATIONS:

•At least 8 years of HR employee relations, training and development experience in the financial services industry
•Asset Management experience is a plus
•Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
•Strong knowledge of Federal and State employment laws
•Strong analytical, execution and project management skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent judgment skills including the ability to make appropriate recommendations
•Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
•Detail oriented with highly developed client services skills
•Proven ability to develop and propose solutions to complex business challenges
•Strong leadership skills and ability to liaise and influence at all levels
•Flexibility and ability to multi-task and prioritize
•Ensure full compliance with Matthews policies, practices, guidelines and procedures
