Job Description

In this autonomous role reporting to the HR Director based in Sydney, you will work closely with the senior management team of Alstom’s Transport business to provide operational and strategic HR best practice. In addition you will be responsible for:

  • Developing close relationships with Senior Management to ensure teams are fully equipped to meet the business objectives both now and in the future.
  • Identifying the HR implications of the Transport business plan, and developing and implementing a HR strategy that supports these goals.
  • Providing high level Industrial Relations guidance across the business including EBA negotiations, and developing a positive IR profile.
  • Implementing effective workforce planning strategies including succession plans, sourcing strategies, and operational recruitment.
  • Preparing and managing the annual People Review, including remuneration review, performance development plans, and training.

The Successful Applicant

Ideally from a fast paced, complex blue collar environment, you will be a highly accomplished HR/IR professional with a proven track record of success. Your proactive approach to problem solving combined with exceptional influencing skills will allow you to build relationships at all levels. Strong strategic knowledge is essential as is the ability to engage the business in an operational capacity. You must have tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline.
