Human Resources Director Advantage Behavioral Health Systems, Athens, GA Advantage Behavioral Health Systems (ABHS) is seeking an experienced and energetic individual to lead its Human Resources team. ABHS is an entity of the State of Georgia, governed by a Community Service Board. Advantage serves ~9,000 individuals with mental illnesses, addictive diseases and developmental disabilities in a 10 county area with Athens-Clarke County, a college town, as its center. It is a client-centered organization with an annual budget of $23 million and 400 employees. Quality service to internal customers, clients, and constituencies is our goal. The HR Director reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The position is a member of a dynamic executive management team and directly supervises the Human Resources Department. At ABHS, relationship precedes tasks. Thus, the individual chosen must have the capacity to be both supportive and challenging and, truly believe in a team model of managerial leadership. Essential Qualifications: The successful candidate will have (1) a Bachelor's degree in a relatedfield (2) thorough understanding of all human resources programs with significant exposure to exposure to employee relations, compliance and HRIS as well as strong demonstrated management and supervisory skills; (3) broad and deep knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation/classification, benefits, organizational planning and development, training and professional development, and diversity Preferred Qualifications: Human Resources experience in a behavioral health setting is an asset. Professional certification by the Society of Human Resources Management Association and/or certifying bodies in the human resources profession is preferred.
