Human Resources Director
Summary:
The Human Resources (HR) Director effectively manages and serves as a liaison between the Company and employees. Develops and maintains HR/Personnel documentation. Oversees and assists in employee communications, human relations, promotes employee welfare, provide information and directions. Meets employment reporting regulatory requirements and policy implementation. Must demonstrate an understanding of compensation regulation, critical thinking, instruction, listening negotiation, personnel resource management, planning, presentation, and problem solving.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintains records of benefits plans participation such as:
o Insurance and 401K,
· Maintains records of personnel transactions such as:
o Hire, promotions, transfers and performance reviews
o Disability processing
o Termination and exit interviews
o Employee statistics for government reporting
· Administers performance review reminders and program to insure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization
· Administers salary administration process for payroll notification
· Administers bi-weekly roster updates
· Administers intranet update process
· Administers and reconciles benefits programs for:
o Life, health, dental disability, 401K open enrollment and new hire election
o COBRA notification and management and annual compliance testing
· Administer workers compensation program to include:
o Injury reporting process
o Management of injured workers claim status
o Early return to work program
o Annual audit
· Administration and coordination or leave of absence, FMLA, PFL, CFRA and PDL
· Advises and assists management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
· Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation if necessary
· Assists in management in the coordination of employee performance/issue warning notice process
· Coordinates legal support if required
· Management of new hire orientation process, to include:
o Offer letters, distribution and collection of new hire documentation
o Lead quarterly motivational functions
· Management of Independent Contractor documentation to include implementation and maintenance of Independent Contractor files
· Develop and maintain temporary/per diem employee status program, documentation and Temporary Staff Files
· Temporary agency staffing liaison for staffing needs/support to include contract negotiation
· Management and application of staffing requisition process to ensure salary matrix integrity
· Payroll processing
o Semi-monthly, change implementation and reconciliation payroll processing
o Reconciliation of employee payroll resolution issues and changes for 3 companies to include out of state payroll coordination
· Manage HR database for up to date employee demographic and payroll information
Training:
· Attends the external training sessions/seminars for personal/professional development
· Develops self, and maintains knowledge in relevant field at all times
Leadership:
· Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards in employment law
· Informs/educates/implements management policies
· Works closely with staff to ensure adherence to SOPs and regulations/guideline
· Promotes a positive team-orientated interaction between departments
· Specific knowledge of, including but not limited to:
o ADA, COBRA, EEO, FMLA
o Workers compensation
o Regulations regarding discrimination in the workplace
o Benefit administration
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required in related field; Master’s degree preferred
· 5 years Human Resources Management experience, healthcare experience preferred
· Minimum certification from an accredited learning facility in Human Resources Management (PHR certification, SPHR, etc.)
· Computer Programs, proficiency in:
o Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Publisher)
o SharePoint
o HR programs such as ADP preferred
· Minimum 1 year experience payroll processing/payroll database
