Job Summary
The Pokémon Company International is seeking an energetic Human Resources Generalist to join the team in this longer-term contract opportunity. This role will be responsible for recruiting as well as developing and managing other programs such as performance management, compensation, onboarding, and employee relations. As a member of a small global Human Resources team, the incumbent must be able to carry out duties in an effective manner without significant daily oversight and to act as a strong and collaborative partner with the other members of the global HR Management team. This position requires fluency in both Japanese and English to be effective.
Primary Responsibilities
· Recruitment
· Collaborate with management to formulate search strategies, source and assess candidates, and extend and close offers. Actively work to position the company as an employer of choice.
· Implement innovative approaches to enhance recruiting processes and policies. Ensure legal compliance and keep up to date on new developments in this area.
· Coordinate immigration-related activities for candidates and employees, acting as a liaison between the legal team and the candidate or employee.
· Source and assess candidates in both Japanese and English.
Other Generalist Activities
· Spearhead projects and manage programs such as compensation, benefits, onboarding, administering leadership programs, and communications.
· Administer leadership programs by supporting communications, maintaining enrollment tracking, acting as a focal point for participants, and responding to questions.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years in a generalist capacity.
· Excellent writing, speaking, and presenting skills in both business-level Japanese and English.
· Demonstrated experience with corporate environment and interacting with employees at all levels within the organization.
· Experience with applicant tracking systems. Experience with Taleo is a plus.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· BA degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field with PHR or SPHR certification.
Work Environment
· Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
· Must be willing/able to do what it takes to get the job done and work with highly confidential information.
