Human Resources Generalist Job in Dedham, Massachusetts Us

generalist.  The position is responsible for processing and administering all employee leaves; administering and managing our worker’s compensation program, and processing and coordinating all unemployment claims.  In addition, the generalist will assist with employee onboarding and provide backup for new hires, benefits, and recruitment as needed.  The generalist will also participate in departmental projects and new initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years experience working in Human Resources required.  Experience working in a company with at least 500 employees preferred. Must have a good working knowledge of Federal and State laws relating to the ADA, FMLA, and worker's compensation. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) required. Must be able to do presentations before groups of 10-15 people. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to excellent customer service. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, and Word) required. Experience working in or volunteering for not-for-profit organizations preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required for limited local travel.
