Job Description:
Our client, a manufacturer of medical equipment is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their HR team located inToronto. The HR business unit has a focus on health safety and employee engagement. They require a skilled Human Resources Professional committed to health safety initiatives and management of performance programs implemented by the HR business unit and provide input into training programs based on line management needs.
As an HR Generalist will foster open communication with employees and managers becoming the strategic partner for policy clarification, conflict resolution, training and health safety needs. You will be responsible for a bi-weekly payroll, keeping track of new hires, terminations, leave and vacation days.

RESPONSIBILITIES
*Work with business units to ensure job descriptions are drafted to meet current needs of the organization and identify training needs
*Maintain confidential records and information
*Trainings managers and employees on HR programs
*Assist with annual compensation review process, and performance reviews
*Provide input for HR Programs development and related communication materials
*Participate in planning and implementation of HR initiatives
*Manage and administer group benefits and disability claims
*Administer bi-weekly payroll.
*Liaise with Health and Safety Consultant, keep up to date records of HS initiatives, accident reports, and coordinate monthly workplace inspections
Job Experience:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, ATRIBUTES
*A Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management from recognized post-secondary educational institute
*3+ years experience in a Human Resources position
*Experience with Health Safety initiatives is a must
*Experience with payroll administration is a strong asset
*Intermediate level of knowledge and use of MS Office products
*Strong communication skills
*Ability to build relationships across multiple business units and drive HR programs
