Human Resources Manager

Eaton Corporation's Hydraulics Operations plant located in Newbern, TN has an opening for a Human Resources Manager. The Newbern facility is a 170 person cost center operation manufacturing rubber and industrial hose and assemblies.

The position is responsible for acting as an HR Business Partner to Plant Manager and Plant Staff on various aspects related to the Plant including strategic direction, management priorities and culture considerations.

Other expecations of the role include:
• Design, implement and facilitate developmental initiatives for all levels of the organization including Staff Team, Front Line Leaders and shop floor employees.
• Represent the employee relation functions in development of short- and long-term plant goals and preparation of strategic plans.
• Drive the on-going succession planning process, planning for the development of top talent, challenging new talent and upgrading positions as they become available.
• Conduct, coordinate and monitor employee meetings and involvement programs.
• Develop and coordinate training and development programs to meet the needs of individuals, as well as the plant, Division and Corporate objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement in HR and support business strategies to build organizational excellence.
• Develop, direct, coordinate, and maintain all policies and procedures of the Human Resources Department in accordance with legal, Divisional, and Corporate guidelines.
• Represent Plant in community activities and charitable contribution selection. Recommend and develop proposals for corporate contributions.

Position Criteria:
• Demonstrated HR strategic business partner success in organizational development and change management efforts, and staff, HR Team, and employee development initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, progressive HR practice, team leadership, strategic thinking, coaching skills, problem resolution capability, and employee development/counseling.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree required from an accredited institution
• Minimum 3 years of HR generalist experience is required
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration
• SHRM PHR or SPHR certification
• Work experience in a manufacturing environment
