Tri-Star Electronics, a member of Carlisle Interconnect Technologies (CarlisleIT) and a leading South Bay manufacturer of Mil-aero Components, has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager for our El Segundo manufacturing facility.  Primary responsibilities of this position are managing and coordinating all human resources activities such as employment, pay and compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, Affirmative Action Plans, safety and security, 401k, Workers Compensation, and employee counseling at the El Segundo and Riverside facilities.   Additionally, works with management and CarlisleIT to develop and implement HR policies.     Responsibilities include:

• Plans, organizes, manages, and implements human resources operations, programs, functions and activities,
• Accurately analyzes and interprets personnel laws and regulations,
• Travel between Tri-Star’s El Segundo and Riverside facilities as needed,
• Provides technical HR assistance to department heads, line supervisors, employee representatives, and employees relative to procedures to follow in conducting disciplinary actions and hearings, complaints of discrimination, harassment, and the employment process,
• Coordinate and facilitates safety program consistent OSHA requirements and company safety goals,
• Oversees and maintains all employee benefit plans:  medical, dental, vision, life, 125 Cafeteria Plan, COBRA and worker’s compensation.
• Oversees ongoing dialog with out-placement agencies, government assistant programs, universities and technical schools, etc. for the purpose of employing qualified women and minorities in accordance with Affirmative Action guidelines,
• Develops, presents, evaluates, and updates training programs that are consistent with Tri-Star and CarlisleIT requirements,

 

Job Requirements:

Candidates must have a BS or equivalent and 5-10 years related experience and/or training; knowledge of fair employment, non-discrimination and safety laws and regulations, employee benefits laws, ERISA, etc; through knowledge of human resources policies, practices and procedures, and considerable knowledge of management theory and supervision. Must have strong
MS Office skills.
