Our client North of the GTA provides debt recovery services to financial institutions, government, telecommunications, utilities, retail and health care sectors. They are currently looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to assist in supporting and driving the delivery of the Human Resources services to the business. The incumbent will be reporting to the Director of Human Resources and provide advisory and transactional HR support that will ultimately drive the company’s goals in conjunctions with the development of their people and culture.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of human resources programs and provide leadership in all areas of human resources management including Employee relations, Succession Planning, benefits and employee engagement.
- Mentor and coach management in the interpretation and implementation of HR practices and ensure that human resources policies and procedures are executed consistently within the approved corporate objectives
- Participate in the development, execution and continuous improvement of human resources strategies in support of the overall business objectives
- Proactively guide and advise management and employees on all matters pertaining to employee relations and actively participate in the resolution of conflicts or complaints ensuring that all actions taken are within legal requirements
- Ensure compliance with federal legislation related to human resources issues by implementing and monitoring the application of programs related to federal legislation (Employment Equity, Official Languages, Human Rights, etc.) in addition to providing information to all employees regarding these programs
- Manage end to end process for recruitment efforts in all three countries.
- Implement decisions/strategies determined through effective data analysis
- Provide Management support on ER issues and handle ER matters with relevant Manager.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- University degree in a related discipline. Completion of CHRP is desired.
- A successful track record in a broad senior HR generalist role, within a global organization.
- Ability to drive for results, sense of urgency and strong execution acumen
- Well developed interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to partner and build relationships with associates, supervisors and managers
- Ability to comfortably and effectively interact with and influence senior leaders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable in front of small and large audiences
- Flexibility and adaptability; ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data
- Ability to successfully work under pressure, respond to shifting needs and manage multiple tasks at one time
- Strong project and time management skills
- High professional standards; strong customer centricity, can be trusted to maintain confidentiality;
- Well developed analytical skills and numeric skills
