Human Resources Manager
Provides overall support to the organization's union and non-union employees in the specified geographic locations and districts. Works with employees to assure all labor laws and policies are followed. Develops collective bargaining agreements by working with unions and the organization's Labor Relations team. Delivers HR solutions to meet the organization's business objectives and develop desired culture. Essential duties and responsibilities, shown below, will vary accordingly based on assignment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Manages all of the organization's field operations human resources activities. - Provides development for the HR staff. - Manages the field operations employee relations and assists in labor related issues. - Coaches and counsels field management on human resources policies or strategies. - Develops and implements human resources programs and solutions to attain the field operations defined business objectives. - Develops and oversees cost effective recruiting efforts through HR recruiters. - Develops and drives programs to contain and/or reduce costs in workers compensation, recruiting, labor, retention, and other applicable human resources functions. Supervisory Responsibilities Ensures proper staffing and the use of overtime hours to maximize the effectiveness off the Compensation function. Conducts annual performance appraisals for direct reports, recommends salary Increases, provides Individual feedback to Improve performance, and Initiates corrective action in response to personnel problems. Reviews and approves salary Increases for Indirect reports. Oversees the training of new employees to perform their duties in a manner consistent with company standards. Qualifications: Required Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or other related field. - Minimum of 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience. - Minimum of 2 years of management experience with a focus on HR, training, diversity or recruitment preferably in a customer service industry. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to quickly navigate through employee relations issues and make difficult decisions. - Ability to develop employees and work in team environment. - Must be detail oriented and self motivated with strong initiative and follow-through. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Superior Interpersonal skills. - Excellent problem solving, decision-making, and judgment skills. - Strong leadership, consultant, and partnership abilities. - Working knowledge of HR Disciplines (staffing/recruiting/diversity, etc.). - Ability to translate business needs into HR solutions. Travel Requirements Moderate travel is required.
